SAI, a Mead & Hunt Company, was responsible for new utility ductbank design, underground and overhead utilities relocation and/or modification for the 6.2-mile x 1,000-ft. wide project area from Havre De Grace over a new Susquehanna River Bridge to Perryville.  Task responsibilities included confirming all overhead and underground utility owners impacted by the proposed project area, obtaining all available utility record drawings in various digital and paper formats, converting all utility records to a retrievable digital format, file naming and archiving into a data management system using Microsoft Access, for subsequent access and incorporation into the Computer Aided Design files for the project and existing utility composite drawings.  The existing utility composite was used to identify, categorize and analyze crossing and parallel utility conflicts with the proposed horizontal and vertical alignment options.  The impacted utilities requiring relocation and/or modification include AMTRAK underground, Baltimore Gas and Electric overhead electric transmission, primary and secondary distribution, and gas mains, Delmarva Power overhead primary and secondary distribution; AT&T transmission underground, Atlantic Broadband overhead, CenturyLink underground, Comcast overhead, Fibertech underground, Level 3 Communications underground, Zayo overhead and underground, Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company gas mains, City of Harve de Grace, Town of Perryville, Harford and Cecil Counties water mains and sanitary sewers.
