Quince Orchard Road Protected Bike Lane Design
City of Gaithersburg, Maryland

SAI, a Mead & Hunt Company, is developing the City of Gaithersburg’s first protected bike lane along a mile-long stretch of Quince Orchard Boulevard and along Rabbit Road.  This pilot design will connect medium density housing with schools and parks/playgrounds.  The bike lanes are protected from vehicle traffic with curbs and/or parked vehicles, providing a high-quality and safe cycling experience, suitable for all ages.
