Sabra & Associates, Inc. is pleased to support the Montgomery County Planning Department in developing a Visionary and Innovative Complete Streets Plan for the Veirs Mill Corridor that was recently approved by the County Council.

Sabra & Associates, Inc. is pleased to lead the development of the Calvert County Transportation Plan. We recently presented an initial set of population and employment estimates used in the plan where community members participated in a mock exercise to understand prioritized transportation projects.

Sabra & Associates, Inc. was pleased to feature our support on the Maryland Transit Administration's North Avenue Rising project and the Montgomery County Planning Department's Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan at the joint annual District meeting for the Institute of Transportation Engineer's Mid-Colonial and Southern District conference in Arlington, VA. The conference was attended by over 300 transportation professionals from over a dozen states. Thank you to all the Sabra & Associates, Inc. staff that presented and attended.

Over 60 people attended the Washington D.C. Section of ITE's event hosted at the Baltimore Metropolitan Council offices on February 5th to discuss  pedestrian safety. Sabra & Associates, Inc. presented the Pedestrian Safety Best Practice Guidelines developed for MDOT SHA and then participated in a panel discussion with the SHA Office of Traffic and Montgomery County DOT. SAI is excited to be a leader in innovative pedestrian safety design and operational treatments and collaborate with state and local DOTs around the region.

Our Transportation Planning Department is headed by Paul Silberman. Paul has been active in the transportation planning and traffic engineering field for over 20 years. Paul graduated from the University Of Maryland in 1996 with a Bachelor‘s Degree in Civil Engineering, and returned for his Master‘s Degree in 2000. Paul is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer in the States of MD and VA. Paul joined Sabra & Associates, Inc. in 2000, and is currently the Director of the Transportation Planning Department. Paul is active in several community projects and professional organizations, including the Maryland Quality Initiative engineering outreach program to local area students, ACEC, and was the 2009 President of the ITE Washington DC Section.
